FULL TITLE: Here’s Why Devin Nunes and Trey Gowdy Ignored Invitation to Meet With Leaky DOJ and Rosenstein on Friday
As previously reported, Chairman of the House Intel Committee Devin Nunes (R-CA) and Chairman of the House Oversight Committee Trey Gowdy (R-SC) were invited to meet with Rosenstein, Wray and Senior Intel staff Friday morning.
A senior DOJ official told Fox News that Nunes and Gowdy had not responded to their invite as of Thursday evening.
On Thursday, Fox News producer, Jake Gibson reported a DOJ official claimed Nunes and Gowdy had not responded to the invitation extended to them for a Friday morning briefing.
Gibson tweeted: Senior DOJ Official: Earlier in the week (Tuesday), we offered Chairmen Nunes and Gowdy a meeting for Friday morning with the Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, FBI Director Chris Wray, and senior Intelligence Community staff. They have not responded to our invite.

Whoever attended/had knowledge of the meeting, and the content of the meeting, is the leaker. That could be more than just the directors. It could be numerous staff.
It was a set up. Had they gone they would have been accused of leaking the name of the mole to the press. Deep State plays hardball.

Nunes said recently on fox news that he was glad he and Gowdy did not go because the NY Times article and leaks were the same night, and he was sure that if they had gone they would have been blamed for the leaks.
I realized just then that this is war.

The 4 am Friday talking points send out were to attack the Republicans about leaking the Stefan Halper spy name to set a trap for Nunez and Gowdy, to claim the information was accessed during this Meeting at the DOJ.
Unfortunately for the Cabal, Nunez and Gowdy were given a heads up and didn’t go to the set up Meeting.
Meanwhile, the leaks from FBI/DOJ to the NYT and Washington Compost had already been sent and were off to the printer by the time the meeting was cancelled.

Chairman Nunes appeared on Fox News’ Sunday Futures with Maria Bartiromo and told her “We’re not going to go to another meeting where we don’t get documents and then the meeting leaks out. This should make people very suspicious – they were trying to get Mr. Gowdy & I to go on Friday to the Justice Department for supposedly another briefing.”

Yes, it is, and it’s been going on for decades. If it had not been for Donald J. Trump, this country may well have been doomed to end up a “democratic socialist state” like the turd countries in Europe at best. To think I gave money to men like John McCain and the Booshes, not realizing just what criminals they all are. And to think I hated Slick Willie, and yet his biggest failing was that he ran around the White House with his fly open! Just think of the real $hit we’ve had as President since before WWII. FDR, Eisenhower (who just played a lot of golf), Nixon, LBJ Cahatah (who is a Commie), Ford (who was an idiot), finishing off with the Booshes, Cliton, and the Magic Negro. Only RR saved us from nearly a century of failed leadership, and we look at banana republics and snear at them! The Second Amendment is all the more important now in making sure we don’t get a Maduro.
I wonder if the ranking members of each of the two
committees were invited or notified? Suppose Nunes and
Gowdy had suggested to each of their ranking members
that they attend the meeting?

This is not our fight. Not on the battlefield anyway, because that battlefield exists in court rooms and marble halls. Janes and Joes on some online forum are not equiped to fight it, nor are they trained for it, except to offer their support for the lawfully elected representatives who we can only pray will do the right thing.
