Don Blankenship isnt done being a thorn in the side of the GOP.
The ex-con former coal baron announced Monday morning that he plans to run as the Constitution Partys nominee for Senate, a move that could damage his former partys chances at defeating Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) if hes able to actually get on the ballot.

You can see why Trump did not want him. Another Carl Palladino hot head in Blankenship.

West Virginia does have sore loser laws; he’s suing to get that struck down by the courts, and will maybe run a write-in campaign should that fail.

These egomaniacs care more about their own egos than their country. All third parties are made up of kooks.
To: DoodleDawg
I thought pre-primary it was said West Virginia had a sore loser law.

This should confirm that Blankenship is a total put-up job.
To: Obadiah
The dems are probably paying him to do this.

manchin is pretty popular for a democrat in WV. the danger isn't that he wins, it's that he siphons enough votes away with his write-in candidacy.

Several of us suggested he was a DNC paid plant, put there to save the Senate Seat.
Looks like it could easily be true.

Of course, the only reason he ran at all was to get Manchin elected. Thats been obvious from the get go. And because a good 33% of the people in this country are complete idiots, no matter which party their in, it will work.
To: SamAdams76
I wonder whether this is ego or graft. I imagine the corrupt Left is happy to pay spoilers to enter races like this.

I don’t follow WV politics. What does the guy stand for that might persuade someone to vote for him over the Republican candidate?

"The dems are probably paying him to do this."
Countless elections have gone to the Democrats over the past 20 years or so (beginning with Ross Perot) when the left ran a pseudo-"conservative" to steal votes from the Republican. And when (if ever) has The Stupid Party employed the same tactic?
Perhaps if they did, this very effective Dem strategy would quickly disappear.
