Hey, I’m saving a small fortune in food.
Got the garden in today.
The garlic, all 100 plants, is going gangbusters.
Got 51 sauce tomato plants in so I will be good to go with homemade tomato sauce this year.
Just replace the old leggy oregano in my herb garden.
The laundry is hanging on the line to dry on this beautiful day, saving plenty of money in utilities by not suing the dryer.
I do my own housecleaning instead of hiring a housekeeper.
And I shop very frugally, as I always have.
I also have a technique for cleaning prom dresses and other supposedly dry clean only items.
There are LOTS of ways to save money when you have the time to do it because you are not working for someone else.
And you eat better and live better, too.
And my homeschooled daughter just graduated with her masters in a STEM field and is continuing her PhD work, while she is supporting herself.
God blesses us with so much, especially creativity and enthusiasm when it comes to managing our households.
Our budget for everything is tight. We spend a great deal on food because there are a lot of us. The cost per person is reasonable, especially considering our oldest is an athlete (football and wrestling) who is always hungry!
We are s-l-o-w-l-y remodeling our fixer upper home , DIY of course. The mud room is finished and when an acquaintance saw it she said, its my Pinterest page in real life. The photographer who took our sons senior pics said its like something out of Pottery Barn. Both comments surprised me because we spent so little-salvaged wood and repurposed items with supplies and decor bought at 40-50% off.
My daughters and I get our hair colored and cut at the local community college for a fraction of the cost of a salon.
God blesses our efforts to create a warm and welcoming home and provides ways to meet our needs and even wants without sacrificing the nurturing of our children. Im so grateful for His provision.
AMEN!
The average suburban school needs a metal detector and an armed security guard at the front door. Not running around all over campus.
When your little darling goes to a rock concert or sports stadium they face a similar situation. I don’t think they will implode with the same thing at school.
Parkland isn’t the inner city and the resource officer whatever that even means was off toodling around the campus not standing by the door. He was useless.
Nothing is fool proof. The metal detector and guard make a statement that it’s not going to be easy. It’s a deterrent. The fact is that schools with proper security measures don’t see a lot of trouble.
CHOICE will kill about 3,300 future American citizens today.
Top that!
That's why no one ever gets killed in prison.
Ain't Whack-A-Mole® FUN!!!
They have enough fun shooting up each other outsidea school!
The next time a bunch of kids are killed in school; the same number of Choosy women who show up to kill the child they are carrying at an abortion 'clinic'; be refused service.
Then those kids; who WOULD have been dead; can replace the ones who WERE killed: given to the grieving parents to nurture and raise.
