Mayorga, in addition to being a competent classic pianist, was a studio musician in Los Angeles in the Fifties, best known for being the pianist who backed the Four Preps. This version comes from the woman who provided the singing voice of so many movie actresses who couldn’t sing a note. The arrangement reminds me a lot of Debussy.
