Just because the shooter's weapon was described as "sawed off" doesn't mean it is. The mainstream media is notorious for getting weapon descriptions wrong.
Generally speaking idiots that saw off barrels rarely move the front sight to the sawed off piece of crap they just butchered. The picture shows what looks like a factory barrel.
