Go freedom caucus! Theyre trying to help pass trumps agenda. The one he got elected for
E-Verify I have no idea why that wasnt enacted the day Trump was sworn in. It is the law of the land, isnt it? He just has to say its going to be used
Hmmm...funding to create and enforce the system
Looks like a few conservatives have finally found their brains. No deals where all they get is a promise for possible future action.
I thought a pretend Republican Congress pretended to create it years ago, and under Bush?
Well if it needs to be refunded, as in funded again, why hasnt Trump pushed for this. That could solve quite a bit of the illegal immigration problem, and most of them would self-port. Cut off welfare and food stamps and free medical, and the rest would go. Other than the criminals, those living by stealing from us in other ways. I really dont understand Ignoring it, as if it wasnt incredibly useful.
“Before the farm bill failed, the freedom caucus had called for a vote on a conservative bill that would boost border security and support the construction of a wall, among other changes. GOP leaders had offered for the House to consider the measure in June in exchange for support on the farm package ....”
Yeah, the old “I’ll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today” lie.
I think enough of the Republicans are afraid enough of the electorate to vote for the first. But there are too many weak-kneed and gutless who will vote with the Democrats to pass any of the others.
I think there are National Security implications in having a strong, healthy agriculture. It is as we speak the most productive in the world. How much better can it get?
If they can’t get 30 rinos to support the daca amnesty, then maybe Jim Jordan should call for a vote on Speaker.
I hate every single one of these photos showing our “representatives” standing around laughing. It’s not that I don’t want them to have some kind of a sense of humor, but I can’t help but get the feeling that they’re laughing at us, drunk on their power and the feeling of superiority.
“What constitutional authority does Congress have to decide what goes on on farms around the country?”
It’s the golden rule. He who has the gold makes the rules. This is a huge package of subsidies, all of which are bad for the consumer. Interestingly, every Democrat voted it down, implying there are no Democrats interested in the farming state’s votes.
