WASHINGTON - Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s office notified a federal court in Virginia on Thursday it had filed under seal an unredacted memorandum that is expected to shed light on the scope of his wide-ranging probe into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.
The filing, made as part of Mueller’s criminal case against President Donald Trump’s former campaign manager, Paul Manafort, was requested by the judge, who told prosecutors earlier this month he wanted to see an unredacted copy of an August 2017 memo written by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein which fleshed out Mueller’s investigative mandate.
In a court hearing two weeks ago in the Eastern District of Virginia, Judge T.S. Ellis told Mueller’s office to turn over a copy of the memo under seal to him by this Friday so he could review it before deciding whether or not to dismiss the charges against Manafort.

Why is the memo even secret? It alleges to be an attempt to set the scope of an investigation into whether Russia interfered in the 2016 election and if the Trump campaign knowingly assisted or coordinated that effort. The scope of the investigation shouldn’t be secret (some of the investigation might need to be secret, but not the scope of the investigation). RELEASE THE MEMO.

Sadly, too many republicant blackmail files will prevent the Congress from doing the job they should be doing, which is removing Rosenslime and Mueller et al from this coup attempt, to Gitmo and hangman’s nooses. And yes, Congress can remove the treacherous pricks by demanding the President (who is the DOJ ultimate boss) demanding these filthy traitors be fired so they can face prosecutions.
The ‘malfeasance’ is far worse than merely DOJ. Congress has been a willing spectator, by their inaction complicit in fact, hoping something will remove the president who threatens their criminal wealth and power syndicate.
