Unfortunately, most Americans don’t realize that classification cannot be used to conceal illegal activities - even by the FBI. As more and more details emerge (and we’re not done yet - not even close), it’s pretty clear that Brennan had his hand in this crap. The tradecraft is pretty sophomoric and crude; typical of Brennan, i.e., too easy to reconstruct with pretty piss-poor OPSEC. Furthermore, it’s time to point out the fact that, contrary to media reporting, Brennan was not an NCS case officer. He was an analyst, which is why there was such an outcry among Agency case officers that he became the Chief of Station in Riyadh, a position traditionally filled by career case officers.
