Leftists would only be happy if all normal people died (or equivalently were enslaved). They think they are entitled to happiness rather than merely the independent pursuit of happiness, and that is the origin of this demand for our death. Under no circumstances can we allow ourselves, our children, or our grandchildren to be disarmed, or they will implement their greatest wish.
Liberalism is a chronic, no-cure mental disease that rots out the brain causing insanity. They’re insane and hellbent on destroying everything they touch....EVERYTHING, including the entire world. They will destroy themselves, and us, in trying to do so. They are an evil scourge on the face of the planet. Liberalism is the BORG of this century and should totally wiped out....figuratively speaking, of course.

The last two vestiges of normalcy in this world is Israel and the Second Amendment. If one or both of these die, it is the end of the world.
Speaking of the world, there are two ideologies that profess global domination. One is the Communists and the other is Radical Islam. What’s left out of the equation? Liberty and Justice for All, which only happens in America (well, Trump is fighting for that) and Israel which is on the worlds $h*t list.
It appears that the goal is to get rid of the US and Israel so the two remaining global ideologies can fight it out.

I don’t accept their moral preening because Progressivism is Humanism, which is an ideology of situational ethics and the morality of the means and ends. And that is no morality at all. It is just means and ends.

This is the basic crux of gun control. From the pesky HOA Nazi to Hillary, what makes them uncomfortable is that they aren't at liberty to do whatever they like to you, because at some point the abused just might have had enough and put an end to it.
