I’m a bit of an old-school phone guy, so I read # as “pound” and not “hashtag”, as younger people do.
I thus find it amusing (childishly, perhaps) that not infrequently, #MeToo appropriately reads as “Pound Me Too”. As here.
What can I say? I’m easily amused.
That’s the way I read it too. I have a “smart phone”, unfortunately it’s smarter than me and I’ve never used a fraction of the features.
I’m also easily amused :) My husband tells me “little things amuse little minds”, but he just doesn’t have the fine perception for the absurd that I have:)
