This legislative term's first open session began with an incendiary speech by the far-right populist AfD. But the chancellor refused to take the bait, offering a detail-heavy defense of her government's proposed budget.

"Burqas, girls in headscarves, knife-wielding men on government benefits and other good-for-nothing people are not going to ensure our prosperity, our economic growth and our social welfare system,"How about the police arrest the three to five knife-wielding men this crazy lesbian is ranting about in the Bundestag?
Btw: Lesbian, as far as I am concerned if a woman chooses to be a lesbian that is between her and God. But to make national politics against immigrants when your own lifestyle is against natural procreation is stupid.
Didn’t AfD go out two months ago and hire up some foundation to do their ‘research and speech’ work?
I watched the piece last night with Weidel. My impression is that she hadn’t read the speech given to her much, and that no one else in the top level had peer-reviewed it.
But all of this leads me back to what I observed in the summer of 2017...the party lacks maturity, and the ‘rookie’ mentality is hurting their brand-name.
The other opposition parties followed Merkel's lead — at least where the anti-immigration populists were concerned. The leader of the center-right Free Democrats (FDP), Christian Lindner, took the AfD to task for not having put forward any plans of its own for financing Germany's social-welfare state.Haters are too stupid for that.
The lady got a chance to make her speech and good for her.
I happen to believe in free speech and that’s the problem.
Those who are afraid of the migrant flood and live at street level, not the wealthy business and banking elites who live behind gates or with guards, need someone to speak for them.
But they get rebuked and condemned and shouted down by the elite media that does the bidding of business and banking eltes.
Good for Alice Weidel who is a lesbian by the way. If she had stood up to denounce “right-wing Christians” who hate LGBTQ people the whole world would be kissing her profusely.
But she fears for her safety and the safety of others in a nation populated by fanatics who have been allowed in by likes of Angela Merkel so she is condemned and rebuked.
Agreed. Weidel didn’t help AfD there.
What is the approximate percentage of Muslim representatives in the Bundestag?
Is there more than one major Muslim political party?
In the Bundestag, which parties do the Muslims usually align with?
I guess we’re trashing the AfD in Germany so we don’t have to talk about the new Euroskeptical government emerging in Italy with Five Star and the League joining forces and together having comfortable majorities in both houses.
Great interview from “Newsweek” with Five Star founder Beppe Grillo at a link on my blog post.
“Burqas, girls in headscarves, knife-wielding men on government benefits and other good-for-nothing people are not going to ensure our prosperity, our economic growth and our social welfare system.”That is a perfectly valid point: Merkel’s importing millions of illiterate Muslims from Africa is not going to fix our welfare and social security system; it only adds immensely to the costs. And it causes levels of criminality which we had never seen before in Germany.
This cannot be stressed often enough in the Reichstag, and nobody except the AfD will mention it.
The Overton Window is closed on a lot of reality involving Islam and Muslims. I have to love Trumps recent Tweet which I see as him trying to move things back to being able to see some facts.
As of 2017, there were 6 muslims in the Bundestag. 4 were Greens, 1 was SPD and I don’t know about the other one.
There is no “major muslim political party” in Germany. At least not yet.
I guess you are pimping your blog.
The problem you have with that is I am an eyewitness to women wearing headscarves while working jobs and also going to and from schools.
To refer to such people as worthless is disgusting enough on any street corner, let alone in the Reichstag.
I was under the impression that the Turkish-German Muslims have a large umbrella political party.
Obviously, I was mistaken.
Off topic - when will the German judiciary, or the political Left, force the CDU and CSU to delete the word “Christian” from their titles?
Better I than someone who does not know my blog and its content relevant to this thread about anti-EU, anti-migrant political activity in Europe.
So, you admitted to blog pimping.
Good for you.
