I think I said I feel sorry for the stark minority of CA conservatives so the criticism was not directed at ALL Californians, just the govt and the dumb asses that put them in office. So you many not have hurt feelings, but you sure are highly defensive. Go ahead an pop off about our great state with 100% conservatives in state offices, among the most favorable 2nd amendment rights in the country. We’ll put Texas up against LGBTQ, wetback loving, baby killing CA any day of the week. CA - homeless capital, needles and feces lining streets, district judges that think they are kings, etc. etc. etc. Will be glad to add more if you like.
Seems a bit odd.
You did state that you felt sorry for conservatives in
California. That is fine. But you also stated:
“If you live there and have hurt feelings about the
attacks on your state (government) then deal with it.”
Oh, really? Tell me which California FReepers defend the
ridiculous California state government? This was my
problem with your otherwise mostly decent post. There
are no Cali FReepers who defend the state government and
the liberals, in general. Otherwise, why would they be
here?
I will defend my fellow California conservatives
against those who make blanket attacks against ALL
Californians. If that is “highly defensive” I plead
guilty. You have pointed out that you recognize that
not all Californians are liberals and that is all I
ask. The only thing I stated about Texas was that
before I would post much about the place I would
check with Texas FReepers first. Did that piss you
off? Why the Texas vs California rant? What brought
that on?
If you live in Texas then the chances are you are not in
the firing line of conservatives from FR. Obviously
if you live in California it is a different situation.
You would be surprised at the number of blanket shots
made at California by New York posters. In my
book that takes brass balls. I subscribe to the “those
who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones”
belief which is why i think it is a good idea to
signify the location of the posters. This may not
apply to Texans so much at FR but to others when
your residence is listed it helps you to choose your words
more carefully.
