Bette Midler is the lamest singer ever! I went on vacation to Mexico in the 90s with some college friends, and the beach scene on the video I took is ruined because her horrible song From a Distance is playing in the background.
What I think they try to do is hit them in the leg. No martyrdom, no bodies for the news, but it hurts enough to make them uninterested in coming back.

I’ve always loved the song “The Rose” ever since I was a child.
Unfortunately I can no longer listen to it anymore because Midler has proven herself to be such a vile, despicable creature.
Midler and her ilk need to just put their money where their mouths are, for once, and find another country to their liking. They are neither needed nor wanted here.
