Despite the legitimacy they have cultivated in recent decades, the Mormons believe some whacked-out crap. While in college, I worked at a building materials supplier doing job estimates. We got a request for bid from a Mormon temple project for some stone work. The baptismal pool was something out of ancient Babylon.

My father was transferred from Dallas to Salt Lake in 1970 when he worked for the Treasury Department. The Feds were keeping an eye on the Mormon cult (they probably still are).
(This is what my dad told me).
As an aside, I was born up there. Did not hang out with Mormons.
