Good post. While California pols beat up on everyone else for being racist I was checking up on the stats for one wealthy Bay Area suburb/exurb Alamo, CA.

Population 14K.

Blacks—22 total people.

Now _that_ is segregation, folks.

A lot like Her Heinous' "crib", in Chappaqua, rumored to have been a "sundown town" as late as the 1940's, surrounded by country clubs that still find ways around the anti discrimination laws and where the "old boy" networks hangs out. Balcks make up less than 2% of the pop. according to the latest census. Also Whoopi Goldberg, she lives in Tuxedo Pk, NY an "old money" subdivision that, out of the 1200 people who live there, boasts a population of, counting Whoopi 2, count 'em TWO Blacks, and even fewer "Native Americans".
