Teaching bears to wave is probably right in there with habituating them :-(

I thought my cat to wave. It’s actually a pretty easy trick to teach. And I suppose bears could be trained with clicker training, just like everybody else. Although I would be afraid those bears would eat me if I didntgive them their treat fast enough! I think the Bears do the training :-)

When I was training cotton, there were two or three cat Training books on Amazon, with millions of dog books. The best book said you don’t train a cat like a dog, you realize that the cat is going to train you and they’re going to figure out what trick they have to do to make you give them a treat. Totally different mindset. Once you realize that you can begin to pretend you are training them.

Just like it is with a smart husband!

:-)

Our little dog who is old and can’t see well and can’t hear well and is on heart meds has trained us to take her out in the middle of the night every night.

;-)
