Some kid got busted for nibbling a waffle into the shape of a gun. Must suck to be a school kid these days.
Yep, I recall hearing that. What the heck is going on in school, in this world?? We overreact and respond inappropriately to events.
I wonder what would have happened to me in this environment? I remember in 3rd or 4th grade, that a bunch of the boys in class played swordfights with rulers. I can just imagine how something like that would be dealt with today.
And at recess, sometimes we played war games, and someone would find a stick and pretend it was a machine gun.
And this would shock today’s school authorities. In playing war games, we split into teams and pretended it was World War II. And some team would be the “Japs”. Holy cow, they would perform some functions in their pants nowadays, over kids behaving in that manner, I’m sure.
