Why is everyone so confident that "revoking a passport" can actually stop people, with so many connections owed to them, from going overseas and engaging in policy discussions? Revoking a passport will do nothing; they'll simply call in a favor, and off they go to whatever country they please.
Passports are for little people like you and me.
