About Carter Page, something that never did make a lot of sense was why someone who was a globalist Merrill Lynch investment banker and promoter of Russian/Central Asia oil & gas would be attracted to Trump, who is an American economic nationalist and wanted to hugely ramp up US oil & gas production at the expense of OPEC and the Russians.
The theory they give is that Page wanted to liberalize relations with Russia and so did Trump. Lots of things don’t make sense though.
