That’s why I think the Israelis are making a big mistake if they want to totally remove Assad and Iranian influence in Syria. Whatever malign actions coming from those elements is moderated by the fact that that there is a return address for retaliation, be it Damascus or Tehran. A Sunni radical force on Israel’s border will not be so easily deterred or moderated.
