Judge not, lest ye be judged.
>>Judge not, lest ye be judged.
*******************************
The commandment Judge not, lest ye be judged (Matt 7:1), was given only to his disciples. But if any be contentious, perhaps you will also seek to follow the commandments given before and after that commandment:
“Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.” — Mat 6:34 KJV
I believe that can be characterized as anti-planning.
“And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.” — Mat 7:3-5 KJV
It you are not perfect, then why point fingers at others who are not perfect?
That said, it is okay to judgeit is even expected:
“Ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that ye do not discern this time? Yea, and why even of yourselves judge ye not what is right?” — Luk 12:56-57 KJV
“the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.” — 1Cor 2:14-15 KJV
“For God is my record, how greatly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ. And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment; That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ.” — Phi 1:8-10 KJV
“Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.” — John 7:24 KJV
