President Trump early Wednesday suggested taking away news networks' press credentials over "negative" coverage.
"The Fake News is working overtime. Just reported that, despite the tremendous success we are having with the economy & all things else, 91% of the Network News about me is negative (Fake)," Trump wrote on Twitter.
"Why do we work so hard in working with the media when it is corrupt? Take away credentials?"
Trump frequently criticizes major news outlets for so-called "fake news" and has threatened in the past to remove press credentials for a number of outlets.
During his 2016 presidential campaign, Trump took away some news outlets' press credentials. Such outlets were able to cover his rallies but were cut off from his press conferences and any special access reporters with credentials normally receive.
Cutting off press credentials would not mean reporters can no longer cover the president.
Trump's latest threat to take away press credentials comes after The Washington Post and other outlets confirmed some of the claims made by Stormy Daniels's attorney Michael Avenatti on Tuesday about Trump's personal lawyer Michael Cohen.
According to Avenatti, Cohen received $500,000 in the months after the 2016 election from a company run by a Russian oligarch with ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin. Avenatti said the funding may have been used to reimburse the $130,000 payment Cohen made to Daniels to stay quiet about her alleged affair with Trump.

Any question that starts with “Did you lie when...” or “How do you have any credibility when...” or having a nonsensical and disrespectful argument with Sarah should get their press credentials revoked.
NOT the news agency, just tell them to send someone else if they still want to participate.

Every single press conference should open with a 5 minute demonstration/review of these facts of bias, just to force the media to sit through the facts and wallow in their bias.
Here’s an idea:
No more daily briefings. Send them out by old school fax to a single machine in the basement of the White House. Let these scum ball “journalists” in one at a time to pick them up.
Have them escorted in and out by armed uniformed Secret Service with a 5 minute time limit. No on premise copying permitted.

Start with CNN and Buzzfeed. That should the Establishment Media realize their excessively negative coverage turns off viewers in most of the country.

Sadly, that’s true. But nothing is free in this world. I forgot to mention to ban any electronic devices while the fax is being picked up. And toss in a thorough search of the “reporter” both before and after.
Oh, and make sure they’re deloused.

Where is it written that the same specific twenty individuals from the same specific twenty “news” organization, all from NYC or Washington, get to cover the White House during press conferences?
I’d have a different batch of “journalists” and ordinary citizens and representatives from America every day at the White House.
If I ever gave a credential to the big wires or big networks, I’d give it to Joe Schmoe from the CBS affiliate in Des Moines one day, and to Sally Schmoe from the ABC affiliate in Roanoke the next day.
Then I’d add a daily mix of technology bloggers, Christian bloggers, and fashion bloggers.
Then a clothing salesman from Butte, a car dealer from El Paso, and a barista from Peoria.
The five folks pulled “off the street” who entered a pool of ordinary folks who wanted to do this.
And so on. All these individuals can report on what they were told.
And everybody else can comment.
But it’d be different INDIVIDUALS and different
I’d like to see a scoreboard in the press room. Three stupid/ridiculous questions over a 1 month period gets you put in the penalty box in the corner of the room.
By the way.... just what is a “journalist?” How does a journalist differ in power and privilege from any other citizen?
ALL of us, every one of us, is a journalist.
