To: who_would_fardels_bear

I would suggest that after the 1983 Return of the Jedi...their best was done and the story was wrapped up. Nothing after that point matched the ‘magic’ of the first three films/stories.

On Wrinkle in Time...it was probably worth doing for teenage semi-science fiction piece and maybe spending $25-million (max). The idea that they’d make some epic piece and it’d be talked about for years to come? No...it just wasn’t an epic movie (as a story, maybe yes). I think the studio will go and ask more questions in the future when someone comes up with some ‘epic-talk’ and wants a movie done for more than 50-million.

For the most part I concur. The one caveat I would offer up is Rogue One. Truly enjoyed the story.
