Stone Brewing Trolls Trump with I'M PEACH double IPA

A few months ago BrewDog sent a case of Make Earth Great Again beer to the White House to object to President Donald Trump’s decision to withdraw from the Paris Climate Accord and now it seems they’re not the only ones making protest beers. This month Stone Brewing Co. has announced they’ll soon be releasing I’m Peach Double IPA in resistance to Trump, according to Beer Street Journal.

The beer’s play on words is a pretty clear reference to a resistance movement that aims to have Trump impeached in 2018. While politically unfeasible at the moment, if the Democrats take back the House of Representatives next year and the Mueller probe finds evidence Trump committed a crime, impeachment may become a realistic option.

The beer itself is a double IPA brewed with peaches, and has an 8.8 percent alcohol by volume. I’m Peach Double IPA will be available in 6-packs of cans, 22 ounce bottles, and on draught. Whether or not the beer will have an effect on the current political climate is uncertain, but we’re definitely looking forward to trying it when it’s released in May 2018.

I understand that this article was from December 2017. The beer was recently released in bottles on May 7th, 2018. The following is what is printed on the back of each bottle:

"It's what a lot of us are thinking. We want to shout I'M PEACH from the rooftops, yet, we're afraid of the potential alienation from select peach-hating members of our friends and family. We want to call for an I'M PEACH, but we're afraid that we'll look soft. Peach soft, like some freedom hating sissy, right? Nope. Not in our world. We know peaches are for the righteous. We've seen the light of their sweet juicy glory and how they pair excellently with the stand-up character of an American IPA. It's not just right for you, It's right for the country. You're proud of our beautiful nation. You support good taste. Have an I'M PEACH party and we will unite hops, peaches and each other."

This will fail. Even if Hillary were president, why would someone want to ruin beer drinking with 'I hate Hillary' beer.

But nice to watch the continued regression to 3rd and 4th grade name calling passing as an adult political argument / resistance movement.

It would be more appropriate if they had “I’M PRUNE” parties. It would be more fitting for them

Stone brewing has never impressed me. There are so many better IPAs out there.

My favorite is Voodoo Ranger IPA from New Belgium brewery. 7% ABV and a slightly tropical flavor with a juicy grapefruit like aftertaste. I’ve found that 7% ABV is the minimum of a good IPA. Get them on delivery day as the freshest it is the better it tastes. IPAs go a skunky really fast, particularly the 9% AVB or above IPAs.

The highest ABV in IPAs I’ve found was 14% ABV on tap for growlers. It was good with a heavy grapefruit flavor. Be careful before you start that second pint. It’s strong heady stuff that comes on slow and strong. You would be DUI after one pint. Two pints and I think you’ll be blowing above 1.2

Be sure to stick their beer in the back of other beers.

Maybe crack a couple of bottles open to check the head on them... :)

Idiots don’t even know what beer is, especially and IPA. Beer is made from malted barly, water, hops and yeast. Peach is for poofters and wine cooler drinkers, I know basically the same thing.
