Is trumpet vine a bad, invasive species?

I ask because I have “Texas Trumpet Vine” in my back yard, and it looks pretty. Lots of downward-facing flowers in red and yellow. Flowers seem to only face the sun.

Well.....here's my experience.

Thought it was pretty and a good butterfly vine...

Had a heck of time getting it started.....

Then it was like a bitch devil plant...The flowers were pretty,,but the aphids covered them...It started to ruin my fence....It's a woody vine...and will take over your space. It will travel under your concrete slabs....and come up elsewhere....It will travel yards away....and come up. Kill that SOB....at every opportunity.

Believe me....get rid of that POS now....!! I'm still dealing with this plant....to keep out of my Blackberry plants....

Kill it Kill it...Kill it...as much as you can.
