I agree about the self-inflicted nature of some of the coverage. When you are in a hole, stop digging.
But nothing will appease the media.
And nobody really cares about the affair. Funny how Trump’s team and the Never Cruzers on FR got mileage about of Ted Cruz’s “affairs expose rumors” in one of the tabloids. A bunch of concern trolls they were, too.
The problem with Cruz and those rumors (I don’t know whether they were true or not) was that he positioned himself as a holier-than-thou type of politician with his “New York values” crap. He was so dumb as to run that remark in NYC in the middle of Rush Limbaugh’s show! Trump never claimed to be a saint.
