I have seen CHP in filling stations citing people if they have the old cans and fill them or a new can modified with a vent. One officer became very upset with me when I asked if this is what he imagined himself doing when he first attended the academy. You will also be cited if you fill a 55 gallon drum with fuel. this used to be a common transport but will get you red tagged now with the wrong officer.
Wow. Great use of an officer’s time. Sure is nice they’ve solved their violent crime problem in CA and have time for that . . .
