The issue apparently is not about stormy daniels but the timing of the payment and the conversation(s) that led up TO the payment.

That allegedly Trump's lawyer has used words that say "we have to do this before the election" indicating the scandal / payment might influence the election and THAT is the issue they're hammering.

If Trump's lawyer DID use those kinds of words, it can be argued it is election tampering.
