"Trump's playing a huge role in both of those states," said David McIntosh, head of the Club for Growth. "Like everywhere in the country, Republican primary voters really want candidates who are going to support the president and support his agenda."
"So you see every candidate pounds his chest and says, 'I'm the most pro-Trump and my opponents they bet against the president.' It's a repeated line," McIntosh continued. "Voters are smarter than that and sort it out, but it is a huge variable."

As a Hoosier I’m trying to decide who to vote for in the primary. My general rule is the Buckley standard for primaries, the most conservative that can win in November. However, in this case, all three should meet that purpose.
I think a larger story that the national media isn’t catching is if Trump is so unpopular, why do so many Republican candidates want to be associated with him?
Doesn’t it speak volumes that candidates are so pro-Trump but incumbents not so much?
The Democrats two biggest issues could easily be printed on an t-shirt for their flocks. It would say:
I hate Trump
I love illegals
Those two short statements represent the Democrat Partys true agenda. Getting rid of Trump, and giving amnesty and the right to vote to millions of illegals from Mexico and Central America!
Primaries are base elections and Trump is very popular with the base.
The “T” that Fits!
I’d probably choose who Trump stands with the most....only because that individual would likely be most apt to support his agenda.
The media/dems knows Trump is popular or they wouldn’t be attacking them as they are.....and of course those Republicans running for office are trying to ‘hook up’ with Trump.
HAHAHA!
and the yet the leftist fake stream media universally continues to beat the drum that Trump is destroying the GOP, and that all the candidates are running away from him because if they don’t, the GOP will be slaughtered during the midterms ...
I used to try to follow the buckley rule too but now i think that’s how we got 40 to 45 Mitch McConnells in the senate who are pro-amnesty but won’t build the wall, support pro-forma sessions so trump can’t do recess appointments, and gave obama everything he wanted but not one penny more.. I don’t have a better rule but i’m starting to think that it’s not a good idea to let a RINO get entrenched . I sure don’t want to see folks like Jenkins,Messer,McSally,Romney,Heller getting elected.. Dunno if i could ever vote dem,, seems like we need a revised rule
I believe Trump supporters will be out in force in November...Rick Scott will beat Bill Nelson here...Adam Putnam will be Governor, too.
