Constitutional due Process requires that authority to conduct an “investigation,” (with big quotation marks,) such as this be spelled out in writing so the rules can’t be changed as things move forward.
You just can’t make up the rules as you go along. Apparently this is exactly what is happening. Police power of the DOJ as being used by the Deputy AG is being abused.
