Well, thanks... that shows how much I know and I stand corrected, though I would still assert that divorce in such a situation would be problematic under those terms...

Not sure what Catholic faith you're talking about, but there is no such thing as divorce in the Church, at all. Ever. Period. There is no mechanism for it, and regardless of the separation period or legal terms, there no such state as "divorced" in the Church. Ever.

There are annulments, but those only recognize that no marriage existed.
