I agree Dr Phil is unwatchable and I used to like him.
For him to publicly and negatively “psychoanalyze” Kanye is as unethical as those so-called Ivy league “psychiatrists” who pronounced our POTUS to be insane.
Consider Dr Phil’s main audience: whiney fat women who don’t have jobs, and are probably welfare and disability cheats. They spend all day watching Oprah, The View, Ellen DeGeneres etc.
Supposedly, allegedly, that all ended with "The Goldwater Rule". In 1964, over 1000 liberal shrinks went on public record confidently pronouncing Barry Goldwater insane, making the psychiatric profession itself look crazy.
As a reaction, the APA added a new rule forbidding the publishing of psychoanalyses done on public figures who the shrinks never interviewed in person in a clinical setting, but were rather based entirely on newspaper clippings & TV soundbites and such.
But it took the APA *nine* whole years to decide to add that rule. Coming out in 1973 as it did, the year after the 49-state electoral loss of George McGovern, who many thought had "problems" himself (and let's not forget "1,000%" VP nominee Eagleton), makes me suspect that it was only the possibility of a *Democrat* figure being remotely-psychoanalyzed that prompted them to adopt their "Goldwater Rule".
