Technically, they're not "illegals". As I understand it, these central american's are considered "refugees" under international convention. Something called the "second country" doctrine (may be wrong name) that says if they declare hardship in their home country, and travel through another country, they are entitled to judicial review for asylum. Canada is dealing with 3rd world refugees traveling through the US.
It's idiotic. It's an international convention that the US needs to pull out of.
This is turning the Illegal alien issue into a refugee issue for the election..
They were already given asylum in Mexico. That should have been the end of it. They have no legal leg to stand on by claiming they need further asylum in the US.
