They have a legitimate point. DC and the surrounding suburbs are ridiculously expensive. Especially for younger members who are paying a mortgage in their home districts. The members complaining about that are all Democrat members of the Black Caucus, which means they’re all on the take and find rent in the city to be nothing more than chump change.

Yes, and considering the potential clients/renters, you would think that a hotel or motel or apartment management company in the area would come up with some viable and affordable solutions, if there was a way to make a profit on the deal.

House them in barracks at Quantico, with shuttle service thrice daily. Let them shop at the PX. Throw them out if they say or do anything disrespectful to the Marines.
