The pressitutes are gullible and easily misled, but the prominent men who are also old and in the way are under attack by a bunch of single party state fanatics who are going to feed the prominent into the wood chipper if they can. Since the victims have already agreed that the "cause" is "just", they can't offer any defense other than, but look what a lot of good I accomplished in my storied career.
