I have had to work with women who say “G..damn men this. G...damn men that” and a few minutes later they say “Will one of gentlemen stay late and take out the trash.” One of them told me that she could not work late because her husband would not allow it, therefore I would have to stay late. I think that is called having your cake and eating it too.

I had a female friend, ex-friend now, that used to be a kind of southern belle type. Always polite, minimal use of cuss words, etc.. Well I had lost track of her somewhat and had not spoken to her for a long time. Well when I finally caught up with her it was F*** this and F*** that and all manner of other words. I could not believe how she had changed. I found it a total turnoff. Made me reflect upon my own language use and I try and not use profanity as much as I can.

We have allowed ourselves to lower the standards for so many things the last 50 years with the advent of bad movies, comics, all manner of society degradation, and now romantic Chivalry is Passe. What would Sir Walter Raleigh think if he were here today????????????????
