In order to get the upper hand, first they had to get rid of all kinds of things...traditions, civility, manners, in tact families, morality ( in every aspect and meaning of that word ), religious freedom and belief, education that was geared to teaching facts and factual history, and patriotism. And they managed to mostly do all of that and more.
Totally agree! The Long March Through the Institutions -- especially universities -- has been the method of spreading cultural mayhem and destruction of the historic order of things.
