Taking a broader view of the whole thing points me to the question of what’s really the agenda.
When an institution is changed on an existential level like girls joining the Boy Scouts, the probability that it isn’t a natural, organic event becomes significantly higher.
I’m all for freedom to choose lifestyle. But activist groups scheming to change or dismantle the Boy Scouts is vastly different from an example of normal, well intentioned citizens wanting to go camping.

Institutions adapt to changing economic and statistical realities. Currently, while there are more Scouting age boys in the country, there are the fewest number of Boy Scouts in 60 years.
Scouting is in decline and something had to be done.

Verily, verily.
