Progressives claim that the “refugees” must be admitted to the US because they are fleeing horrific conditions of violence, political oppression, drug trafficking, and poverty in their home countries, yet Trump is blasted for allegedly calling those same places “s*itholes.” Go figure.

Many, if not all, Central American countries are criminal infested sh-tholes because of one thing .... it’s because of the people who live there. If our politicians continue to sit on their arses and do NOTHING about what is going on at the borders, then every last one of them should be voted out of office.
Honduras is loaded with various communicable and parasitic diseases, which have largely been wiped out in the US.
All those would-be immigrants need to first be screened for malaria, yellow fever, jungle parasites, etc., before being allowed past the border. (This kind of vetting was standard at Ellis Island.)
US health officials fought a decades-long war to eradicate malaria etc. from the continental US. Carelessness in allowing infected persons back inside the country, will undo all that.
