Cindi McCain’s next birthday is May 20th. John may be trying to hold on until then. I’ve heard of other terminal patients doing that near family holidays or Christmas.
May Day is just around the corner...might make a more fitting end point to Crash's life story.
My sister was in hospice, and died on her 69th birthday, September 2nd, 2011. We always figured she held out until then so she wouldn't be younger than our mother was when she passed. That, or she wanted to make sure she got her August Social Security check :-)
