At the final press briefing before this weekend's White House Correspondents' Dinner, reporters crowded around the 49 assigned seats in the Brady briefing room. Press secretary Sarah Sanders read a statement before taking questions for 18 minutes, calling on just 15 people.

It was an increasingly familiar pace. Of the 17 briefings in March and April, just two lasted longer than 24 minutes, reflecting a pivot toward brevity since Sanders took over in late July.

It’s probably a necessary evolution, said Sean Spicer, who as Sanders’ predecessor routinely took questions for more than a half hour, calling on as many as 44 reporters at a briefing.

“The briefing is not serving a constructive purpose anymore,” Spicer told the Washington Examiner. “It doesn’t need to exist every day, and it definitely doesn’t have to be on camera.”

And the lame media does not always have to sit in the front row when, what should be a very rare occurrence, a briefing happens. What makes them think they are better than the rest?

If it were up to me the White House press corps would be standing at the gate hoping for a written brief and not sitting in the White House abusing the president or his spokesperson.

Naw, I would build an out house on the south lawn and take their questions there. Hand out fly swatters as a courtesy, though.

the Questions should be limited to one per subject. If someone asks the same question previously answered Sarah should just say “That’s been answered” and move on to the next person. I’m also sick of 2 questions when someone gets called on.

I would like to see the seat assignments done by a lotto type draw every briefing.

......given the view of tens of millions of Trump supporters that “the media” is the # 1 Enemy of America ergo it needs “some kind” of controls placed upon it........., reducing these “briefings” to these imbecilic America hating retards to one 15 minute session per week across the street from the Whitehouse would be a good start.

I don’t mind hard, piercing, uncomfortable questions being asked of our President. I DO MIND ANY disrespect either in tone, body language, words used or phraseology.

Each journalist should have to go to a six month, 40 hour per week, “RESPECT” school which would include 100 hours of basic history of the USA. Then, once they graduate from that school, they should have to spend 40 hours in a MASH type medical facility on the front lines. Then, they could apply to sit in on a WH press briefing.

I’m sick of all of them to my core...........just in case it’s not noticeable.

Or first come first serve. Let these cretins scrabble for seats. As it is they even have their names on the chairs and waltz in like royalty making their way to their thrones.

They need to be taught a lesson in humility, something so many of them lack.

I think they should be moved off site and the whole White house press corps thing should be done away with. These morons are taking up space that could be used productively and do not belong in the White House in the first place in my view.

I’m not sure I can stay that high for as long as they can stay that low. LOL.
