And don’t get me started with the inconsiderate aholes that think its so fashionable nowadays to BACK into parking spaces ...while the rest of us have to sit there and wait.
I don’t get the whole exercise. 10x longer to back in than pull in and 10x more of a chance that your going to clip a car on 3 different sides.
It seems the whole backing-in phenom started about 3-4 years ago.
I DONT FREAKING GET IT!
Every time a person in a big fat arse truck or SUV BACKS IN to their parking spot, THIS IS SELF-ADMISSION THAT THEY HATE THEIR OWN VEHICLE BECAUSE PARKING IT IN A PARKING LOT IS A PAIN IN THE BUTT SO THEY GET THE HARD PART OF PARKING IT OUT OF WAY FIRST BY BACKING IN, MAKING IT EASIER TO PULL AWAY IF THEY'RE POINTED 'NOSE OUT' RATHER THAN ARSE OUT.
I drive an FX4 F150 and back into every possible parking spot. It’s easier than trying to back out of a spot with 18 people jockeying for position to get my spot after I leave.
It’s also safer.
I DONT FREAKING GET IT!
I drive a 2014 Toyota Tundra Crew cab. Big truck. Back up camera.
I like to back into parking spots because it is MUCH easier to get OUT of that parking spot without hitting another vehicle.
I only use the camera during the final few inches to be sure I am all the way in the spot without hitting the car behind me. I can usually back in just as quickly as pulling in (and in one try) because I KNOW HOW TO DRIVE, unlike most of the people out there.
