HUNTSVILLE, Texas -- A prisoner on Texas death row for killing a 5-year-old girl and her grandmother in a gang-related shooting at a child's birthday party in Fort Worth a decade ago was executed Wednesday evening. Erick Davila received lethal injection for using a laser-sighted semi-automatic rifle to spray bullets at about 20 people - more than a dozen of them children.
Annette Stevenson, 48, and her granddaughter, Queshawn Stevenson, were killed and four others were wounded, including the girl who was celebrating her 9th birthday.
Authorities said the April 6, 2008, attack was in apparent retaliation for a previous run-in Davila had with the slain girl's father, who was attending the party.

Very much as an MS-13 punk convicted of a similar offense who got life with no parole. His final remarks to the court and the child’s family were; “I don’t care. I am MS-13 and I always will be. I don’t care about nothing else.”
I remember when this happened. I’m glad it did not take too long to take out the trash.
“But, at least it wasnt 30 years of appeals.”
That was my first thought——good for Texas.
.
Yes, you may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one...
Illegal or the son of illegals?
Ten years ago? Justice is not too swift, is it?
Happily though, to quote Ron White, “In Texas,
if you kill us, we kill you back.”
Only a decade on death row? Thats pretty fast.
Took ten years but we sent his sorry ass to hell!!!
I could care less if they express remorse....they can take that up with Satan when they reach hell!!!
a decade ago!!! why so long he should have been put to death immediatley
As a Christian I was taught that God will forgive any sin for which the sinner has genuine remorse.I'm reminded of one of the thieves who were crucified with Christ.
You may have been taught otherwise.
Indeed, and it still all fits in the same size body bag. ;>)
We certainly don’t do it soon enough.
People are not automatically forgiven. This guy not only did not express remorse he was defiant. There is either a hell or not. As a Christian I beleive there is.
You might have been taught otherwise!!!
First of all I perhaps should have said remorse and contrition rather than just remorse.
Second, two criminals were crucified with Christ. One taunted Christ, asking Him why he couldn't save Himself. The other asked Christ to remember him as He entered the Kingdom of Heaven.
To *that* criminal Christ said "Amen I say to you today you will be in paradise"
Christ understood that the "good thief" had true remorse and contrition for whatever sins he had committed.
Although I suspect that you're correct to observe that sinners aren't *automatically* forgiven and also acknowledging that this *particular* guy may not have had true contrition I'll bet that there are at least some who are guilty of serious sin who've had their sins forgiven by God.
I think it must be even be considered possible that *Hitler* is in Heaven now....although I can't see him being capable of true remorse or contrition. But we cannot be 100% certain of that...only God knows the true contents of a person's mind and heart.
If Hitler isn't headed for hell then there is no hell!!!!!
As I said...it's hard for me to imagine Hitler having true remorse...or contrition...for anything. But I'll ask you this...have you ever done something wrong for which you were truly sorry, truly remorseful, had true contrition for? Something for which you humbly asked God for forgiveness? I certainly have.
Well I suspect his statement after appearing at The Judgement Seat went slightly differently.
I never murdered 8 million people!!!!
