My reaction to the first accusation was disbelief. But what has emerged is a pattern of abuse - and a pretty consistent pattern. Didn’t listen to any of the trial and don’t know if the jury was right or wrong. But IF guilty, then he deserves punishment.
I admit to feeling sad. I always suspected he was one of those people who seem nice but who I probably would dislike if I met them. But I liked his comedy. May still have a record of his in the garage. I’ll never be able to listen to one of his routines again.
The thing is, Bill was far from the only one.
I used to love Woody Allen's comedies, too; never watched another after he married his stepdaughter. Dr. Huxtable is now Mr. Usedtabee. Ho-hum. Fame is a fickle mistress.
I agree with you. Ones brain has to be dragged to such knowledge. Bill Cosby was a beloved, admired American. We had to know that we didnt actually know him. Its tough to be that wrong.
Other recordings to banish to your garage:
Michael Jackson
David Bowie
Led Zeppelin
Chuck Berry
and quite possibly the Beatles and the Who
