There has always been something very sick about central and south American historic cultures. We still witness it today.
Since the people who broke away from Asia and came to the Western Hemisphere essentially created newer cultures than the ones in the older lands, they hadn’t developed the more subtle cultural ways of limiting the population. This is population control in disguise, maybe unconsciously by all, maybe conscious to a few.
El Nino was devastating the land. You want to eat, or have too many children: pick one.
