Van Hollen is one of the Maryland Marxists who arose in the Democrat controlled State Legislature, along with fellow Marxist thug Miller, along with the idiot Benjamin Cardin (D-Md, Senate - whose parents would be ashamed of him for his stupidity and cowardice (they lived two blocks away from me in the 50’s/60’s.)
And Mayor, then Gov. O’Malley became a hardcore leftist who wrecked the state, esp. Baltimore City (where I grew up). His economic programs and plans exactly paralleled what Marx and Engels proposed in “Das Kapital” and the “Communist Manifesto”.
I would love it if some competent scholar would compare O’Malley’s remarks (esp. during his presidential bid in 2016) with what Marx and Engels wrote in their economic plans and visions.
The parallelism should hit you in the face like a fly ball.
Do not expect intelligence from any Maryland Democrat politician. That generation died out years ago, and started the general decline of Baltimore with Nancy Pelosi’s brother being elected the mayor (he was mayor during the anti-Jewish black riots of April, 1968, in which he did nothing to save Jewish businesses and those of other small business people except the Italians who basically were “not to be hit”.)
Now you know where Pelosi got her insanity from. Ran in the family.

I can relate, having lived in Maryland my entire life of almost 58 years.
BTW, I have the only GOP representative; the other seven are RATS.
Van Hollen and Cardin are horrible, to say the least.
And Governor Hogan is a Never Trumper, who apparently favors open borders.
