The Status-6 is reported to have a range of up to 6,200 miles with top speeds of 56 knots, and an ability to carry nuclear warheads within range of the US. If this submarine actually travelled at such a speed everyone in the world would know where it was.
Its screw would be caviting so much it would make enough noise that a any submarine hunter listening 5000 miles away would hear it.
The only use for that speed is to evade a torpedo. But it would not be able to evade a Subrock though. Too bad we dont have them anymore.

Traction drive. but they would be blind. 56kts, a lot of ocean covered in a short time. Imagine driving on the freeway in western Montana at night, without a moon or headlights. You may or may not hit someone or something.
