She went to make herself a cup of coffee with the Kueurig machine they have, and looked for the sugar, but couldn't find it. All they had was Sweet & Low, and Equal. I asked her if she wanted a Splenda as I carry them in my purse. I'm diabetic so switched to Splenda when I was diagnosed. She went on a rant, telling me that those sugar substitutes aren't good for you, that they do all sorts of things to your insides, and will eventually kill you. She finally found some sugar and put it in her coffee, then decided she was hungry and took a walk across the street to the bakery. By the time she got back her car was ready, and she left. I had a good laugh over this woman, because after her tirade about sugar substitutes, I discovered she was a smoker, not just of marijuana, but regular cigarettes. I guess she doesn't realize what cigarettes do to your insides. I know both my parents and one sister died of lung cancer.
The end result of protecting people from their folly is to live in a world full of fools.
