Well, if we can’t get your proposal enacted into law, at least we should close the “auto show loophole” so that when you buy any kind of vehicle at a show, you must undergo an instant background check to get the thing licensed.

Ditto for private “non-show” transfers between unrelated indivicuals. The transferred vehicles must be licensed.

Those very actions should greatly reduce the number of mass murders committed by van and truck drivers.
