"...I don’t want to give this thing up..."

LOL. If there was a way for Jack Twist and Ennis Del Mar to quit each other, there is a way with those Yeti traitors! ;-)

However, I find it curious that a corporate entity that has historically supported 2A and the NRA (and is now attempting to explain its action) is seemingly incurring far greater wrath from gun owners than other companies that are and always have been in-your-face anti-gun.

I imagine it's mostly because most of us who care about such things don't tend to patronize the anti-2nd amendment businesses. When we suddenly find that something we do patronize is working against our interests, we feel betrayed.

This whole kerfluffle isn't a big deal to me. I don't personally own any Yeti products. I recently bought an Rtic thermos for my coffee though. Kinda glad I didn't go with Yeti now. Personally I'm waiting to see how this settles out. I suspect Yeti knows very well how badly they stepped on their reproductive member. They are likely to do something big to make up for it.

Sort of like “dicks” destroying perfectly good ARs. Now, THAT is stoopid. Could they have sold them to LEOs?

"Sort of" being the operative phrase. It's quite a bit different for a private individual to dispose of personal property any way he deems fit, than it is for a corporation with fiduciary obligations to wantonly destroy corporate assets. That could well lead to issues at the SEC.

Again, I don't argue with the rage Yeti has drawn being justified.

It just seems to me it exceeds what was leveled against, say, Dick's Sporting Goods, which seems a more natural target.

Statement from NRA spokeswoman:

“Yeti severed ties with the NRA and is now engaging in damage control after a backlash from many of its customers,” she told Florida Politics. “In early March, Yeti refused to place a previously negotiated order from (the NRA’s Institute for Legislative Action), citing ‘recent events’ as the reason – a clear reference to the tragedy in Parkland, Florida. Yeti then delivered notice to the NRA Foundation that it was terminating a 7 year agreement and demanded that the NRA remove the Yeti name and logo from all NRA digital assets, as well as refrain from using any Yeti trademarks in future print material. While Yeti is trying to spin the story otherwise, those are the facts.”

Agreed. It's kinda weird. You never really know what is going to catch fire and what is not. I think it depends upon if anything else is going on at the same time.

"...statement from NRA spokeswoman..."

The ridiculous statement from YETI pretty much reeked of a corporation doing hasty damage control.
